Time to connect with your Instagram followers

Hey fellow business owner - need support with your Instagram? 👋

Abi here from Baffled to Bossing it!

Abi here from Hometown Creative! It’s time for our second ever Midweek Momentum email. How are you doing? Have you been embracing the spooky season, or a bit like us, have you been too busy to even create any Halloween-themed content?

Well fear not if you are in a bit of a content-rut - I’ve got you sorted with some great ideas for your digital marketing this week!

💡 Content Idea of the Week

Share your business goals

Have you ever shared your goals with your audience? This week you could create a video, or a carousel post, talking through some of the goals you want to achieve, or have already achieved for your business. This is a great way to get your audience on board with your business journey.

The more honest you are willing to be, the better!

⚡️ Trend of the Week

Broken Ankle Instagram Trend

The broken ankle trend - ouch!

This one’s easier to watch then it is to explain! This fun (and a little bit gruesome) video idea starts off with a close up of someone's feet jumping off something and then transitions into the feet landing and one ankle rolling over. But this is where it is revealed to be a hand coming out of the shoe, instead of a foot, with the hand holding a note or a funny joke. We’ve learnt it’s a bit like marmite this trend - some people love it, some people hate it - but it will likely get your audience talking! Will you be trying this trend? SEE THE TREND

💡 Marketing Spotlight

Have you thought about adding more interactive elements your Instagram stories this week? Using stickers such as polls, question box and emoji sliders?

Having interactive stories allows you to engage with your audience in a more personal and meaningful way.

They can help you to increase engagement: Interactive stories are more likely to be seen and engaged with than regular stories. This is because they require users to interact with them in some way, such as by tapping on the screen, voting in a poll, or answering a question.

They can help you to learn more about your audience: Interactive stories are a great way to get feedback from your audience and to learn more about their interests. This information can be used to create more relevant and engaging content in the future.

They can help you to build stronger relationships with your existing followers: Interactive stories are a great way to connect with your audience on a more personal level. This can help to build trust and loyalty, which can lead to more followers and more engagement in the long run.

😇 Someone who is SMASHING it

I love shouting out businesses (big and small) who are doing well with their marketing.

Shouting out to Rach & Jess from @wearestudiomorii  I loved how:

  • Interactive stories: They really engage with their audience by posting interactive and engaging stories daily.

  • Behind the scenes: Rach & Jess create and produce brilliant reels of the two of them working. This creates a sense of realness I love watching.
